I recommend the most appealing thumbnail as the first video in a Playlist -- though I would recommend making it one of your own, as that will likely be the first (and possibly only) video someone watches within a Playlist series. I don&#039;t think the number of views in the position 1 video has much to do with the optimization either: it&#039;s more the keywords in the titles of the videos within the Playlist. Therefore, load the front part of the Playlist series with videos that contain more of your top keywords.

And yes, you are able to edit the order. Goto Account &gt; Playlists and you&#039;re able to click on the number of each video in your various Playlists and type in a different ordered number to change them.

As for your Insight question: those percentages in the 4th pic represent the amount of change those videos have had. In the above example, the one video is up 15% over the previous day&#039;s views, while the other is down 10%. (It lists the videos with the most major changes, both up and down, on that first glimpse on the homepage. Click through to read more.)
