<p>Yes, we lost some recordings from the Webinars for digital access online.  It&#8217;s been a series of unfortunate events but we&#8217;re near the other side.</p>
<p>Today we&#8217;re re-ripping all of the DVDs to replace the content back online. Once that&#8217;s done and put online, we&#8217;ll put the players around the files as well so you can either stream or direct download.   It&#8217;s a slow process (processing for streaming, etc.) but we should be done by the end of the weekend.  </p>
<p>We&#8217;ll also keep everyone updated with the process <a href="http://www.twitter.com/youtubesecret">via the Twitter feed</a>.  </p>
<p>Now, yes, the online access has always been just a &#8220;bonus&#8221; but we still feed bad and want to make it up to you.  On Thursday the 9th at 4p Pacific, Paul is going to host a very special edition of the YouTube Secret Weapon Insiders Webinar Series that will cover, in detail, the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/emarketingvids">eMarketingVids Project</a> and what you can learn from it.  Although we promised we&#8217;d start charging for the Insider Webinar Series from this point on &#8211; there will be no cost to YouTube Secret Weapon 2.0 customers &#8211; it&#8217;s our way of saying thanks for understanding. </p>

<p><em>So what changed, you ask? </em>Several things, but two of the most exciting ones have just been announced in the past few days, and these have to do with the SIZE and QUALITY of your videos.</p>
<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Note</span>: These changes are NOT going to affect your video optimization. Rather, the reason this is great is because, before this change, the only negative thing I could find about distributing your videos on YouTube was that out of all the video content sharing sites available, YouTube&#8217;s video quality was among the poorest (Revver and Blip.TV were kickin&#8217; their hiney). <strong>Well, NOT ANYMORE.</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="color: #ff9900;"><strong>Size Does Matter &#8211; Hello Widescreen!</strong></span></span><br />
All videos on YouTube are now displayed in new widescreen players with an aspect ratio of 16:9 rather than 4:3.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/blog?entry=0i22UDAOfj8" target="_blank">As YouTube notes on its blog though</a>, they expanded the page to 960 pixels and your old videos will still display just fine. Any videos uploaded at the 4:3 ratio (which is the vast majority) are now displayed with black bars on the sides (that’s the empty space not used by 4:3 videos, as illustrated here below).</p>

<p>They&#8217;ve been experimenting with high quality videos over on YouTube for awhile. And now, with the new widescreen format, this means HD-quality videos will be able to be viewed at a much higher resolution than previously possible.</p>
<p><strong>No more grainy, ugly videos!</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Whenever I mention to people that I&#8217;m an expert on </strong><strong>how to optimize YouTube videos for maximum traffic,</strong></span> I often get a story about &#8220;this person&#8221; they know who received 100,000+ or even a million views on a video.</p>
<p>Yoo-hoo! <em>That&#8217;s not the point.</em></p>
<p>Note that it’s not always about getting 100,000 to a million or several million views on YouTube, it’s just making sure that those views you are GETTING are from people who have an <strong>interest</strong> in your target niche topic and what you have to say!</p>
<p>For most people selling products and services online, that means you want viewers who may eventually BUY something from you.</p>
<p>Well, that is, unless you’re Chris Crocker (the &#8220;leave Britney alone&#8221; dude) or someone who is just trying to become famous for &#8220;famous&#8217;s sake&#8221; &#8230; In that case, you&#8217;ll appeal to <em>any</em> type of general audience.</p>

<p>Getting more TARGETED audience views will drive your positioning and results for your keywords and keyword phrases in the YouTube search index.</p>
<p>This will give you more of a chance to have your video(s) to be discovered, and perhaps then embedded on remote sites, such as someone else’s blog&#8230;</p>

<p>So, as I move along to get my video editing in order, the biggest question we face is what to call this puppy when we release it in product form &#8212; as a two-part DVD set.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve considered &#8220;Leveraging YouTube,&#8221; &#8220;YouTube Alchemy,&#8221; &#8220;Creating a YouTube YouTopia&#8221; (okay, kinda cheesy that one), and of course there is always just plain ol&#8217; simple and self-explanatory &#8220;YouTube Traffic Strategies.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8230;And then I just noticed a trend of what people with experience applying my YouTube marketing advice for the last few months are saying:</p>
